REVIEW REIMAGE PC REPAIR ONLINE SOFTWARE
First they took my $41, and then my antivirus software kept picking up the reimage program as a threat and uninstalling it. I used reimage to help repair my computer and they did everything but. They tell you they are joint partner with McAfee, but I don’t know if that is true. DO NOT use this company or any of their products. It was apparent it was a scam when he refused to disconnect from my computer until I called the bank. I then went online to find out about the "problems" with my computer that Jayson said I had and it turns out it is a common problem with Microsoft and all you need to do is delete the log. I eventually unplugged my computer and router and disconnected that way. He kept putting me on hold and would not respond when I told him I wasn’t interested in the additional service. I told him no that I was no longer interested in the service and to please disconnect from the call, he refused. When the card didn’t go through because you can’t make more than one transaction a day, he insisted I call the bank to approve it. I was willing to pay the extra cost for the convenience. I said fine because I didn’t want to take my computer into a shop when I could get it fixed immediately. So I gave him access and he spent the next 2 hours telling me that I had errors that had to be fixed by a live person and he had a live person available to do that for me for $299. The tech, Jayson, insisted he had to access my computer to get the code, which I questioned why can’t he just give me the code, THAT I PAID FOR? He said he had to access the computer to fix the problem. So I called customer service to get the code.

Once I downloaded the software, it would not give me a code to complete the transaction, but it took my money. I had some problems with my PC and downloaded their software to fix the issues. I called the company but they said it couldn’t have been one of their employees but there was this one problem of removing something from my computer that the guy I talked to at Reimage on the first day knew about and so did the guy that called me the next day. He even had access to my phone calls and emails. Then a few days later my granddaughter called me on my cell phone and that guy answered. He apparently was using that service to transfer money out of the country. Then I received emails from Paypal Xoom which I never use.

He ended up wiring money out of my credit card, plus got into my bank account and wired money from it. When asked why since I was talking to him on my landline, he said it was his connection to my computer server and I would have to give him a credit card number so he could forward it to the server and they could unlock my computer and clear it of those certain items. He asked for me to use my cell phone and press in certain numbers. to be added to my current payment for my computer server. He said I needed to purchase a certain antivirus from my computer server and that they had my computer locked until I paid. He asked for me to get on my computer so he could tell me about the items that they weren’t able to clear up. It sounded like the same person I talked to the day before.

The next day I received a phone call from a guy representing Reimage. A few times I could hear him talking to someone else nearby. The guy I spoke with said there were some things that he might not be able to clear up on my computer.

I called the company to get help with my computer running slow. I dealt with this company since 2016 with no problems until January 25, 2021.
